The second annual Harvest Balloon Festival will lift off at Sterling on the Lake, 7004 Lake Sterling Blvd. in Flowery Branch, Ga., with balloon adventures and fall festivities for all ages. The event takes place Oct. 15, from 1:30 to 8:30 p.m.
The festival is taking fun to new heights with tethered balloon rides, a balloon glow and competitive races in the sky, and even more activities down below. The balloon race and launch will take place on Saturday and Sunday between 8 and 8:30 a.m., depending on weather and wind conditions. On land, guests can celebrate fall with pumpkin carvings, hay rides, face paintings, tasty treats, games, and live music throughout the day.
“Our first Harvest Balloon Festival was a huge success bringing in nearly 8,000 guests, and we expect another great turnout and lots of fun again this year,” according to an event organizer. “This festival is a great way to celebrate fall with friends and family, while enjoying the magnificence and excitement of beautiful hot air balloons.”
